The family of John Kingman (born about 1530) first appears in Trowbridge, Wiltshire with his marriage there to Joanna Rodes. It is possible, though maybe not probable, that this John Kingman is the same John Kingman, son of Robert Kingman of Great Wishford, Wiltshire (about 19 miles to the south-east of Trowbridge). Equally, he may have come from the family group in Frome.
