APPOINTMENT - Mr. C.J. KINSMAN, son of Lieutenant KINSMAN, R.N., has obtained a commission in the Marines, and been selected for the Artillery company, within six months of his admission, instead of the usual two years. In his first examination, we understand he answered every paper, and obtained the maximum number of marks within half the time allowed each day. Mr. Kinsman was prepared by Dr. DRAKE, of St. Austell. (January 1857)
