Notes

  • The Inventory of John Kinsman's estate (died 1636) was taken by his brother Henry Kinsman, his brother-in-law Henry Pearen and also by Nathaniel Kinsman.  Nathaniel of Kilkhampton is likely to be related - a cousin?

Henry Kinsman was appointed by Nathaniel as overseer to his will.

The inventory of Nathaniel's estate was taken by Thomas Kinsman. The only Thomas of record at this date was the father of Henry and John mentioned above.

A close relationship is implied in these mutual appointments, but is not explicit.  Most likely Thomas is uncle to Nathaniel and John and Henry are therfore first cousins to him.

Nathaniel's will contains a very strange error in that he made his 3 year old daughter Bridget his executrix.  It would seem that there is a missing line in the will, providing for his wife and making her executrix. The first admon of this will is missing, but admons issued following the death of Charity make it clear that this is what actually happened.
