    Extract from the Clergy of the Church of England Database:

    Ordained priest 2 Mar 1734, Henry VII chapel, Westminster by Joseph Wilcocks Bishop of Rochester.  Noted as having a BA.
    Ordained as deacon 20 October 1734, Bromley parish church by Joseph Wilcocks Bishop of Rochester.
    Appointed Rector of St Pauls Cray 5 Feb 1740. Patron was John Selwyn, Esquire.  Noted as having an MA.
    Appointed Rector of St Mary Woolwich 1 Oct 1740 by Joseph Wilcocks, Bishop of Rochester.

    Remained as Rector of both churches until his death in 1752

  • Note from the Reverend D G Sheriff, Rector of St Paulinus, St Pauls Cray, dated 26th Feb 1970:

    "Whilst carrying out alterations after a fire in the Sanctuary, the builders found a brick vault below the floor with four coffins.  Arabella Kingsman (died 1750) in a lead coffin.  Her two twin babies, Francis and Arabella died at the same time, in two small coffins.  Thomas Kingsman died 1752, her busband.

    Thomas Kingsman was Rector of this church from 1742 to 1752.
    On 7th May 1747 their elder child was baptised as William Long Kingsman."
