At the moment there are two distinct Kingman families held within this tree, one comes from a George Kingman who lived in Kingston on Thames in the early 1800s, the other is a large number of Thames boatsmen and their families from Southwark.

George KINGMAN b~1770. Probable father of John Kingman who married Ann Wheeler in East Molesey in 1832, and raised their family in Kingston on Thames.
b1849 in in Kingston on Thames. Emigrated to Queensland and married Arnold Costin there in 1873.
b1879 in Clapham. Emigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1907 and then to Los Angeles, USA in 1921
Thomas KINGMAN b1700. He was a renowned florist and also ran the Artichoke public house in Lambeth.
b1863 in Kingston on Thames. Emigrated to Brisbane, Australia about 1890.
