  • William joined the Army on 12th February 1902. He was 17 years and 8 months old and working as a Butcher.

    He was 5 feet 6.5 inches tall, weighed 118 pounds and had a sallow complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

    He served with the Royal Field Artillery, in India for four years.

    He was discharged on the 11th February 1914 after twelve years service.
