Will of William Kinsman of HMS Dover. 1689


Know all men by these presents 


that William Kinsman now belonging to their Majesties Ship the Dover, mariner, for certain good causes and considerations **** hereunto m***ing have and do hereby name and make and appoint my truly and loving friend Elizabeth Humphry of Ratclife in the parish of Stepney and County of Middlesex, widow, to be my true and lawful attorney and assign for me and in my name and to my use to all manner demands recover take and receive by due course of Law of and from all and every person and persons whatsoever whom in this behalf it may come unto all and singular sums and amounts of money salary wages and debts whatsoever which now is or are at any time hereafter shall be due and payable unto me by any way or means whatsoever giving and by these presents granting unto my said attorney all my authority and lawful power to do present execute prosecute perform and accomplish all and singular acts deeds devices matters and things which and about these premises shall be useful and convenient as fully and effectually as the Laws will permit and suffer and as myself could do: being personally and upon my attorney receipt compositions or other agreements to sign deal and ****** ******* Releases or any other discharges in my name and attorney or attorneys under his holding for ficure and effectual to all intents and purposes all and whatsoever my **** Attorney shall lawfully do or cause to be done in or about these premises by virtue hereof and lastly I, the said William Kinsman, being about to make voyage do make ordain and declare this my last Will and Testament, viz: 


I do fully and firstly give and bequeath unto my loving friend Elizabeth Humphrey all and singular my salary wages and all other my estate and do make and appoint the said Elizabeth Humphry sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament 


In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eighth day of May Anno Domini one thousand six hundred and eighty nine and in the first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary, King and Queen of England
