Will of William Kingsman, cleric of Southampton. 1737.

In the Name of God, Amen

I, William Kingsman of the town of and county of Southampton, clerk, do make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner following:

Imprimis, I give my soul unto the hands of Almighty God and my body to the ground to be decently buryed. 

Item: I give and bequeath to my four children Sarah, Elizabeth, William and Margaret £400 and upon the decease of any or either of them the four hundred pounds that were designed for their respective portion to be divided equally between the survivors in case any of them dye before the age of one and twenty for when they arrive to the said age of one and twenty their respective portions of four hundred pounds each are to be paid them.

Item: I will that my daughter Sarah have the thirty pounds with interest at 4 percent from the time of her birth that her Godfather the late Primate of Ireland gave her and that she and the other three children when they come to age as abovesaid have the pieces of plate or gifts in money that are given them and set aside for them.

Lastly I make my loving and beloved wife Sarah sole executrix of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the 27th day of June 1728.
