Will of Amos Ferne, vintner of St Paul, Covent Garden. 1732.


I Amos Ferne of the parish of St Paul Covent Garden in the County of Middlesex, vintner, do make this my last Will and Testament as follows, viz;


Imprimis, I give to my sister Anne Trafford the sum of £20 


To my sister in law Margarett Ferne the like sum of £20 


To my brother Godfrey Ferne the like sum of £20 and also my silver watch, my tobacco box and my cane 


To my sister in law Mary Ferne one Guinea 


To Anne Trafford, Samuel Ferne Trafford and Sarah Trafford children of my nephew Samuel Trafford who now lives with me the sum of £20 apiece 


To Mrs Mary Trafford wife of my said nephew Samuel Trafford my Diamond ring and my two mourning rings 


The rest and residue of all my estate as well real and personal, ready money, plate, jewels, goods and chattels of what nature or kind so ever, my debts legacies and funeral expenses being first paid and discharged, I give devise and bequeath to my said nephew Samuel Trafford his heirs executors administrators and assigns 


And of this my last Will and Testament I hereby make and appoint the said Samuel Trafford sole executor and do hereby make void all former Wills by me made 


In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 17th day of October Anno Domini 1730 and in the fourth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord King George II

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Amos Ferne the testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have attested the same as witnesses thereto in his presence
