Will of Elizabeth Kingsman, widow of St Andrews, Holborn. 1744.

In the Name of God Amen

I, Elizabeth Kingsman of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex, widow, being of sound mind and memory praised be Almighty God for the same do make and delare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First, I resign my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for a sure and happy resurrection to eternal life and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named

And as to such wordly estate of what nature or kind so ever which it hath pleased God to bless me with and that I shall die possessed of, interested in or constituted unto or shall belong to me at the time of my decease I do hereby give and devise and bequeath every part and parcell thereof to my cousin Elizabeth Kussoll of Edgeware in the county of Middlesex, widow, the late wife of Herbert Kussoll deceased, and to my cousin John Pyke of Leicester Fields in the parish of St Martin in the Fields in the county of Middlesex, upholsterer, their heirs executors admininistrators and assigns to be equally divided between them share and share alike they paying thereout my debts and funeral charges and I do hereby make constitute and appoint the said John Pyke and Elizabeth Kussoll executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereby I the said Elizabeth Kingsman have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of September in the fifteenth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith and in the year of Our Lord 1741.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by Elizabeth Kingsman the testatrix to be her last will and testament in the presence of us who in the presence of the said Testatrix subscribed out names as witnesses hereto:

This will was proved at London before the worshipful George Paul Doctor of Law and Surrogate of the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth also Doctor of Law Master Dispenser of the Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted this fourth day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourty four by the Oaths of John Pyke and Elizabeth Doody (Elizabeth Kussoll wife of Richard Doody) the executors in the said will named to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased being first sworn only to adminsiter.
