In the name of God Amen
The seven and twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred and fifteen, I, Richard Kyngsman, of the parish of Overton in the County of Wiltshire, sick of body but whole and perfect of mind (God be praised) do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First, I give and bequeath my soul to the Almighty God trusting to be saved only by the blood shedding of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Item, I bequeathe my body to be buried in the Church of Overton aforesaid.
Item, I give to our Lady Church of Sarum twelve pence.
Item, I give to my daughter Alice Kyngesman one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid within one year of my decease.
Item, I give to my daughter Johane Kyngesman one hundred and fifty pounds to be paid in manner aforesaid.
Item, I give to my daughter Mary Kyngesman one hundred pounds to be paid as aforesaid.
Item, I give to my daughter Catherine Kyngesman one hundred pounds to be paid as aforesaid.
Moreover, I give to my son Richard Kyngesman two hundred pounds to be paid within one year of my decease.
Item, I give to the poor of Overton twenty shillings.
Item, I give to the Church of Overton ten shillings.
Item, I give to each of my servants ten shillings.
The rest of my goods not given or bequeathed (after my debts paid) I give and bequeath to my wife Alice Kyngesman and to my son Robert Kyngesman whom I do confirm and appoint to be my joint executors to see this my will performed.
Also I am to request my wellbeloved in Christ Richard Smythe of Lymitt, Robert Cryspe of Yeatesburie, Thomas Earle of Cleverton and my brother Robert Kyngesman to be my overseers for the better performance of this my last will and testament.
