Will of Anne (Agnes) Kingsman, Widow of Overton. 1620

In the name of God Amen

The 12th day of May in the year of Our Lord God one thousand six hundred and twenty, I Anne Kingesman of the parish of Overton in the County of Wilts, sick of body but whole and perfect of mind God be praised do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:

First, I give and bequeath my soul to the Almighty God trusting to be saved only by the blood shedding of My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Item I bequeath my body to be buried in the Church of Overton aforesaid.

Item; I give to my daughter Margrett Pinchine 20 shillings, two pairs of canvas sheets and my two best s**** and s*** and two double kerchiefs, two lockeram aprons, two canvas aprons and a Holland apron and my best gown and petticoat, one flanen waistcoat, two holland partlette and two lockeram partlette. 

Also, I give to Alice Plesler 20 shillings.

I give to Marye Kingsman, sister to the said Marg Kingsman one Holland shirt.

Item, I give to Alice Kingsman one lockeram sheet.

Item, I give to George Bleeke’s wife one gown.

Item, I give to Jane Templar my worst gown.

Item, I give to John Mearsunn’s wife one petticoat.

Item, I give to Joane Gillman one petticoat.

Item, I give to Robert Kingsman my son, my best tuke bolster.

Item; I give to John Franklin’s wife one webmaure waistcoat.

Item; I give to the poor of Kennet 10 shillings.

The rest of my goods not given nor bequeathed (after my debts paid) I give and bequeath to Robert Kingsman son of Richard Kingsman late deceased whom I do constitute and appoint to be my executor to see this my will performed.
