To James Mower my eldest son all my houses and lands in the hamlet of Milton and parish of Prittlewell free and copyhold at 21


Mary my wife shall receive rents and profits of lands for bringing up said James till he be 21 and give him £20 at 21


To Samuel my son £50 at 21


To Samuel Mower my son my seal ring bearing the letters of my name


To Robert my son £50 at 21


To Mary my eldest daughter £50 at 18 or at marriage


To Anna my daughter £50 at 18 or at marriage


To the poor of Leigh 40 shillings


Mr Negus minister of Leigh 30 shillings


To my brother John Frebanne my best cloak


To [] Bonner of Milton my green cloak


My executors to stand charged with full payment of the several provisions then if shall please God to send safely home such venture I have in the good ship called the Pleasure which if it miscarry (which God forbid) and my venture not come safely home then my gift to my son James Mower shall be wholly void and that my several portions to my other children Samuel, Robert, Mary and Anna Moyer shall be £20 deducted, and to have only £30 apiece.


All my other goods, chattels, ships, money to Marie my wife whom I make my sole executrix, and my brother John Frebanne and my brother-in-law Robert Salmon to be overseers.
